Roobet Casino Reports Cyberattack Against External Partner
Roobet’s external provider has been hit with a cyberattack; funds and passwords are safe, but some data has been leaked Roobethas confirmed that one of its external partners – Fast Track– has become the subject of a cyberattack. The news was first reported on Friday in a social media post shared by the casino. In it, Roobet explained that Fast Track, which his responsible for parts of the casino’s player engagement, has experienced a cyber incident, with deliberate actions ngaken against the company. The situation was described as a “security breach” with the hackers gaining access to Fast Track’s internal systems, along with user data. However, the crucial pieces of information, such as Roobet accounts, passwords, crypto wallets, and funds, have not been impacted by the attack. In the statement, the company explained: “To be totally clear – your Roobet account, passwords, crypto wallets, and funds are safe. None of that information is or was stored with Fast Track. We’ve been working closely with their team to understand what happened, what data was impacted, and how to make sure stronger safeguards are in place going forward. Fast Track has confirmed the situation has been contained and that there’s no continuing risk to user data.” While there is no direct risk of account loss because of the data that was leaked, Roobet has warned customers and players to stay vigilant and expect an influx of phishing emails. The casino also urged people to use two-factor authentication while vowing to work with Fast Track in order to further ensure that its safeguards are improved. Fast Track also shared comments on the attack and explained its scope and intended target, and described it as an isolated accident.
